Epic Deals is a small business run by a team of passionate tech lovers.

Delivery to major cities takes one to two working days. Delivery to outlying areas takes two to four working days. Both Epic Deals and our couriers are open on weekdays only. 

Items such as gaming consoles and iMacs will by default take 3-4 working days even if you are located within an overnight delivery area.

Nothing. Yes, really. We’ll cover the courier cost to send your order to you, anywhere in South Africa.

Delivery is super fast, as well as secure. We move hundreds of phones, laptops and other gadgets around SA every month and have a great relationship with our couriers. They will make sure you get your device faster than you’d think possible.

We accept EFT, all major credit cards, cash deposit and SCode. We also offer three finance options.

The finance options are Payflex, PayJustNow, LayUp, FASTA and Mobicred.

LayUp is a lay-by payment method which allows you to put down a deposit (currently 55%) and then pay off the difference over three months. You can check out their website here. No credit checks are done. You only receive your order once you have paid for the order in full. Any cancellation of a Lay-up order will forfeit 10% to cover commission costs and the time period of which the device was reserved for. All cancellations may take up to 10 working days to resolve. PayFlex and FASTA do a credit check and allow you to pay off your purchase over a period of six weeks (PayFlex) and four months (FASTA). A credit check is done. You receive your order once your finance has been approved and the first payment has been made. Both options typically offer up to R8,000 in credit.

PayJustNow allows you to get your goods upfront and pay off the remaining balance over a period of 3 months. 

You can apply at checkout – it takes less than three minutes to process your application and to see if you have been approved.

If payment clears into our account before 13PM on a weekday, we will ship your order on the same day. If payment clears after 13PM, your order will be sent out the following day.

We will email the tracking information once the couriers have collected your order. Tracking updates are viewable online the following morning.

Click & Collect (Platinum Repairs JHB Only)

At Epic Deals, every device is unique. When an item is ordered, it immediately becomes unavailable for others to order.
 
The item/s you have ordered have been reserved for you, however, to be fair to all of our clients, a R200 non-refundable deposit would be needed in order for us to send out the parcel to Platinum Repairs in JHB.
 
 
Please use your order number as your payment reference, and email the proof of payment to [email protected].  The parcel will be dispatched to Platinum Repairs upon receiving a valid proof of payment.
– Due to orders not being collected at Platinum Repairs previously, this is to ensure that the orders will be collected in a timely manner. This deposit is required in order for us to best assist you.

No, once the R200 has been paid, the final amount to pay will be excluding the R200. For example, if your order is to the value of R1000. Make the R200 deposit via EFT. Upon arriving at Platinum Repairs, the amount to pay upon collecting would in that case be R800.

You are given a tracking number once the device has been dispatched. Once that tracking number reflects as “Delivered”. Your parcel is then ready for collection.

All parcels will be at Platinum Repairs for a period of 7 days. Failure to collect during those 7 days will render the parcel to be returned to us, order to be cancelled and the non-refundable deposit to be retained.

Yes, you can. You would also be able to make payment via card machine upon arriving.

Delivery is overnight to Platinum Repairs if the order and a valid proof of payment be received before 1 PM on a working day. Should it be received after 1 PM or over a weekend, the order will be processed the following working day. Couriers do not work over weekends.

Device Grades

  • Not all functions working
  • Deep scratched on screen or casing
  • Cracks
  • Water damaged, but working 

The device is functional without additional repairs, but has notable damage to major components. It’s more like Eskom – it’s great if it works but you know you can’t trust it. It could fail at any time.

Issues that would put a device in this category would include a cracked or broken screen, a damaged casing, faulty battery, broken Touch or Face ID sensors and any other components required for the device to be in full working order. Deep scratches, cracks, or dents would qualify the device as poor condition.

  • Everything works. No major damage. Most “normal” devices fit into the “Good” classification.
  • Only used phones that are practically brand new fit under the “Mint” classification.

 

The device is fully working and does not require any repairs to be used further. Minor evidence of previous use in the form of small scratches and scuffs are acceptable. 

Battery maximum capacity (visible in Settings > Battery > Battery Health) must be at 90% or above. If it’s lower than that, we would have to replace the battery before the phone can be resold. A fee of R250 will be deducted from the payout, to go towards covering this cost.

  • Everything works. No signs of previous use. 
  • Only used phones that are practically brand new fit under the “Mint” classification.

The device is fully working and does not require any repairs to be used further. The device has absolutely no signs of previous use, not even minor scuffs or scratches are visible, the device is as good as new.

Battery maximum capacity (visible in Settings > Battery > Battery Health) must be at 95% or higher. 

  • New and sealed.
  • The plastic wrapping around the box hasn’t even been opened.

 

The device still has all original factory seals intact with no evidence of tampering. The box has been been unsealed or opened, and the device has never been used. Devices must be free from any contractual obligation.
