Do I need to unpair my Apple Watch before selling it?
Yes, this one’s required. Unpairing via the Watch app on your iPhone (Watch app > My Watch > the (i) next to your watch > Unpair Apple Watch) automatically removes Activation Lock, which is what allows a new owner to actually use it. We can’t buy a watch that’s still locked to your Apple ID.
What if I don’t have the paired iPhone anymore to unpair it?
You can also erase it directly on the watch via Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings, provided you know your passcode. If it’s genuinely locked with no way to remove it, unfortunately we’re not able to buy it.
Do you buy Apple Watches with a cracked screen?
